The Irish words “Barr an Uisce” literal English translation is “above the water”. It is also the Irish name given to Barraniskey, which is a town land set in the heart of the beautiful County of Wicklow, on the East Coast of Ireland. The Irish word “Uisce” or water in English, was used during the time Irish monks first distilled what we now know to be whiskey. They called it “Uisce Beatha” meaning Water of Life. Water from County Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland,  is used to Cut our Whiskey

1803 Single Malt
10 Year Old Irish Whiskey

Guaranteed 10 years in first-fill bourbon barrels. 46% ABV

Lustrous, warm, mid-gold color. Aromas of vanilla, white chocolate and caramel (creme brulée) are confirmed on the palate. Spicy entry and then a broad, silky, creamy mouthfeel. Mid-palate opens to reveal tropical fruits, cinnamon, ginger and a distinct maltiness. Long in the finish with hints of toasted oak.


Wicklow Rare
Small Batch, Blended Irish Whiskey

“Blend – 80% Grain / 20% Ten year old malt. Matured in first fill Bourbon barrels for 4 years, Finished in Oloroso casks for 6 months. 43% ABV”

Pale gold in color. Aromas of vanilla, honey and baked fruits (confit). Very smooth entry and then expansive with a mouth coating, oily texture. Mid palate shows a subtle nuttiness and warmth with hints of raisin and plum. Long, clean finish with marmalade notes and caramel.
